Shyam Garments

Shyam Garments is located on the B-32 main road in Noida Sector 35. If you know the area, you know how loud it gets with all the cars passing by. We’ve been here for a few years, mostly focusing on clothes for families nearby. The shop isn't massive, so we have to use every bit of wall space to hang things up. Every morning, I unlock the shutters and sweep the front. It’s a ritual. People in Sector 35 usually stop by after work or on their way to the grocery store. We don't do much fancy advertising, people just see our sign from the road. Sometimes the rain leaks a bit near the door, so we have to move the racks back. It’s just one of those things you deal with. I usually have tea from the stall next door around four o'clock. Most of our stock is stuff people wear for work or around the house. We don’t have a lot of help, so if I’m busy with a customer, the others just have to wait a minute. It’s a small operation. We keep the inventory in the back room, which is always a bit of a mess no matter how much I clean it. It’s a honest way to make a living. Sector 35 has a lot of regular faces, and it’s nice to recognize them when they walk through the door. It gets a bit dark inside when the sun goes down, but we have some good lights now.
