Ss Fashion

You can find us at D- 16 in Sector- 6. We mostly deal with clothes and different types of fabrics at Ss Fashion. It started out small and we’ve just stayed in this same spot. The sewing machines are usually running from early morning until we close up late. It gets a bit noisy with the constant humming, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't some big brand you see on TV. We’re just local people making and selling clothes that folks around here actually wear. Sometimes the piles of fabric get a bit high on the tables. We try to keep it neat, but when there’s a lot of work, things get a little messy. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We spend a lot of time looking at threads and measuring out materials. My glasses are always sliding down my nose while I’m checking the stitching. We get people coming in for all sorts of things, mostly just regulars from the neighborhood. It’s a bit cramped in here with all the racks and the cutting table, but it works for us. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. If someone likes what we make, they tell their friends, and that’s how we keep going. It’s just a normal day-to-day grind in the garment trade, nothing fancy about it. We just keep the needles moving and try to do right by the customers who come into Sector- 6.
