Tripathi Garments Pvt. Ltd. is based at C-94 in Sector 26. This area is a mix of houses and small businesses, so it is a little quieter than the main commercial hubs but still pretty active. Our space is mostly taken up by long tables where we layout fabrics and stacks of finished clothing waiting to be packed. You can usually hear the sound of sewing machines or the hiss of the steam iron coming from the back. We have rolls of cloth leaned up against the walls in different colors and textures. The lighting is bright so we can see the stitches properly, which makes the room feel a bit clinical sometimes. We do not have a fancy showroom; if you come here, you are going to see the actual work happening right in front of you. There is thread everywhere—on the floor, on our clothes, even in the break area. We have a small team, and we usually eat lunch together while talking about the day's tasks. The office part is just two desks shoved into the corner with a computer that takes forever to boot up. We deal with a lot of different suppliers for our buttons and zippers, so there are always delivery guys coming by with small packages. It is a messy, creative, and busy place where we just focus on making the garments as they are ordered. We keep the side door open for a breeze when it is not too hot.
