Durga Computer

Our shop, Durga Computer, is located at H - 169/3 in Sector -12. If you know the area, it is pretty easy to find. We spend most of our time surrounded by computer towers, monitors, and a lot of tangled wires. There is always a faint smell of solder or warm plastic in the air. People bring in their laptops when they stop working or when they’ve spilled something on the keyboard. We spend hours trying to figure out if it's a hardware problem or just something wrong with the software. It can be tedious work, especially when a screw is stuck or a part is hard to find. We have shelves filled with spare parts, some old and some new. Our workspace is usually a bit cluttered because we always have several machines open at the same time. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that, so we just talk to the customers directly while we are working. Sometimes it’s just a quick fix like adding more memory, and other times we have to keep the machine for a few days to really get into the problem. Sector -12 is a decent place to work, and we have a regular stream of people from the nearby blocks coming in. We just keep our heads down and work through the pile of repairs that grows every day. It’s just us and the computers, trying to keep things running.
