Karina Wears is located over at D-44 in Sector-10. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main markets, which is nice because we can actually hear ourselves talk. We started out with just a couple of sewing machines and a small rack for finished items. Now we’ve filled up most of the space. There’s always someone coming in to drop off a sample or check on an order. We don't use a lot of fancy software to keep track of things; it's mostly notebooks and pens here. It gets a bit messy when we get a large shipment of fabric in. You’ll see rolls of cloth leaning against the walls in the hallway. We spend a lot of time just checking the stitching. It isn't a high-end showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It's more of a workshop where people are actually doing the work. My cousin helps out with the deliveries when the traffic isn't too bad. We've had the same people working the machines for years now. They know exactly how the fabric should feel. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby in the sector. It's just a regular business doing regular work. We like it that way. No big speeches or complicated plans. It's a simple operation run by people who know their way around a needle.
