Sauhard Farmer Producer Company Limited is just what we call ourselves for the paperwork. Really, we are just a group of people from around Bhagwatdeehahirauli Bujurg in Rehra Bazar. We use Shiva Prasad’s place as a sort of hub. Most of us have been farming this land since we were kids. It is hard work and the sun is always beating down on us during the day. We get together to talk about the crops and how to handle the seeds properly. Sometimes the rain doesn’t come when we need it, which is always a big worry for the whole village. We aren't trying to sound like some big city company. We just want to make sure the harvest goes well so we can take care of our families. We spend a lot of time just talking about things like fertilizer prices or why the old tractor is acting up again. It isn't very exciting work, but it is our life. We share tools and help each other out when someone is short-handed during the cutting season. That is just how things are done here in Rehra Bazar. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just a few chairs and some registers to keep track of who brought in what grain. Most of the time you will find us out in the fields rather than inside a building. We just want to do honest work and keep the farm moving forward every year.
