Samtex Fashion Ltd.

This particular office for Samtex Fashion Ltd. is a bit different because we are operating out of Sector-56 in Noida. We are set up near the ESIC Colony. It’s a residential-feeling area but we do our fashion business right here. Rajeev Joshi and Ramesh Ram handle the daily stuff and it feels more like a home-grown operation than a corporate headquarters. We have piles of fabric samples sitting on the tables and measuring tapes draped over the chairs. The neighborhood is quiet compared to the main industrial hubs of Noida. We like it that way because we can actually hear ourselves think. We spend our days looking at designs and checking the quality of the stitching. It isn't a glamorous world like you see on TV, it's mostly just hard work and making sure the sizes are right. The ESIC colony nearby means there are always families around and it gives the place a nice vibe. We don't wear suits to work; we just wear what’s comfortable and get to it. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon and talk about what needs to be finished by Friday. It’s a steady pace. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to do the fashion work properly from our little corner in Sector-56. It works for us and we have been here long enough that the postman knows exactly where to go. We like our routine.
