Ripples Engineering is located in the Hosiery Complex, Phase-II Extension, at C-119. Even though the area name mentions hosiery, we are all about engineering. Our facility is a mix of technical space and storage. We have some heavy equipment that takes up most of the room on the ground floor. It’s a busy environment where someone is always measuring something or checking a blueprint. We aren't the type of people who wear suits to work. Usually, it's just jeans and shirts that we don't mind getting a bit dirty. Engineering is a lot of trial and error sometimes, and we spend a lot of time testing things out before they are finished. The Hosiery Complex is a tight-knit industrial area, and we know many of the neighbors. We often borrow tools or help each other out when something goes wrong. Our office upstairs is where the planning happens. It’s cluttered with drawings and old parts that we keep just in case we need them again. We don't follow a strict corporate manual. We just work until the job is done right. Some days are long, especially when a project is near the deadline, but we don't complain much. We’ve been at this for a while now and we’ve learned that being practical is better than being fancy. That's the way we've always run things here at Ripples. The workshop cat usually sleeps on the warm machines in the afternoon and we don't mind.
