Our office is up on the 8th floor of the Express Trade Towers in Noida. If you know Sector 16-A, you probably know the building. It’s one of those big towers where you have to wait for the elevator for a while during the morning rush. The views from the windows up here are actually alright, you can see quite a bit of the city when it isn’t too hazy out. We do engineering stuff, so the desks are usually covered in drawings, files, and half-empty tea cups. It is mostly an office environment with people on computers or taking calls about various projects. It gets pretty quiet during the middle of the afternoon when everyone is focused. We’ve been in this space for some time. The building management keeps things running, and we just worry about our own floor. Getting into the industrial side of things means there is always some problem to solve or a report to finish before the day ends. We aren't much for fancy decorations; it is just desks, chairs, and filing cabinets like any other workspace. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is wrapping up and the cleaning crew starts their rounds. The security at the front desk downstairs knows most of us by sight now. It's just where we come to work every day. We usually grab lunch from the small places nearby or bring something from home. It's a busy life in the towers, but we have gotten used to the pace of it all.
