Prasid Pashmina Industry

Our place is in Sec- 5, Noida, over at B- 69. We handle the business for Prasid Pashmina Industry here. It's a different kind of job than the heavy factories you see in the surrounding blocks. Pashmina is very soft and needs a lot of careful handling so nothing gets ruined. We spend most of our time checking threads and making sure the looms are doing what they are supposed to. Noida gets pretty hot in the summer months, which makes working with wool a bit of a sweat, but we have some fans going. The staff here mostly lives nearby in the local colonies. We aren't some big international corporation with a hundred layers of management. It's just a unit where we make shawls and fabrics. Sometimes the shipments are late or the power goes out for an hour, which is just how things go in this industrial area. We try to keep things simple and practical. You won't find any marble floors or air-conditioned lobbies in our office. It’s mostly just boxes and rolls of cloth stacked up to the ceiling. People around here know us for being consistent with how we do things. We don’t do a lot of talking because the work usually says enough. If a batch isn't right, we just stay back and fix it. We get a lot of dust from the main road, but inside, we keep the fabrics covered and clean. Every day is pretty much the same.
