Om Glass Company

Working with glass is a tough business, and we’ve been doing it here in Sector 9 of Gautam Budh Nagar for quite some time. The shop is always a bit noisy because of the cutting and the grinders running. You have to be careful where you step because there’s always a chance of a small shard being on the floor, even if we sweep five times a day. We handle everything from big window panes to small mirror pieces. It’s heavy work, and our hands are usually covered in small nicks and callouses. We don't have a fancy office; it’s mostly just the warehouse floor where the racks are. When a delivery truck comes in, it’s all hands on deck to get the glass moved without breaking anything. It's a bit stressful when you're carrying a piece that's worth a lot of money across a slippery floor. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon and makes everything sparkle, which is about the only pretty part of the job. Most of our day is just measuring, cutting, and making sure the edges aren't too sharp for the customers. We’re just a local glass company trying to keep up with the orders from around the sector. It’s hard, physical labor, but it keeps the lights on and keeps us busy enough that the weeks go by pretty fast.
