New Town Cafe

New Town Cafe is located in Sector 53, over in the C Block area. We aren't a very large cafe, just a few tables and a counter. We opened this place because we liked the idea of having a spot in the neighborhood where you could just sit for a minute. We don't have a team of chefs. It's just a couple of us who know our way around a kitchen. We buy our supplies from the local markets and try to keep things fresh. The coffee machine can be a bit temperamental sometimes, but we’ve learned how to handle it over the years. We don't have a social media manager or anything like that. We just write the daily specials on a chalkboard near the door. The floor has a few scratches from moving the chairs around, but it shows the place is used. We get a lot of people from the nearby houses who just want a quiet corner to read or chat. We don't play loud music or try to be trendy. It’s just a plain room with some good smells coming from the back. We do all our own washing up and we close up when the sun goes down. It’s a simple life running a cafe in C Block. We aren't trying to expand or become a big chain. We just like being the local spot where people know our names.
