Mithila Garments

Our shop, Mithila Garments, sits right in the middle of the Ch. Rampal Awana Mkt in Sector 18. It’s one of those markets where there is always a lot of movement and different smells from the nearby food stalls. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of garments, stacked high on the shelves and hanging from the ceiling in some spots because we run out of floor space. We’ve been at this Sector 18 location for a good while, and the floor tiles are a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. In the mornings, we spend time taking the shutters up and getting the dust off the glass counters. It’s a simple routine that we’ve done a thousand times. The market can get quite loud with people bargaining or vehicles passing by, but we’re used to it by now. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept in the back storeroom. If someone asks for a specific size, we usually have to dig through a few piles to find it. It’s not a fancy boutique by any means. It’s just a place in the market where you can find clothes without any extra fluff. We keep the ledger on a small wooden desk near the entrance. Most of our day is spent talking to the other shop owners or helping people find what they need for their families.
