Manglam Apparels Pvt. Ltd. is found at B - 52 in Sector 2, which is part of Gautam Budh Nagar. Sector 2 is one of the older industrial areas around here, so the buildings have a bit of character and some wear and tear. Our spot at B-52 is a two-story structure where we do everything from the initial pattern cutting to the final packing. The ground floor is usually where the heavy stuff happens, and it can get quite hot when the machines are all running at once. We have a small courtyard where we park the scooters and where the delivery vans back in. The walls are lined with shelves full of different threads and spare parts for the machines. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website; we just focus on the orders we have in front of us. Most of the day is spent checking the quality of the stitching and making sure the sizes are right. It’s a lot of physical work, and by five o'clock, everyone is ready for a break. We usually get a lot of tea from the vendor across the street to keep us going through the afternoon. The neighborhood is full of similar workshops, so there’s a constant sound of trucks and machinery in the air. It’s just a plain, hardworking place where we try to do a decent job every single day. We stay until the floor is swept and the gates are locked.
