M J Molding Works Chokhat Door

M J Molding Works Chokhat Door is based in Gautam Colony. It’s a place where there is always the sound of sawing or hammering. We work on doors and frames mostly. The air usually has a bit of sawdust floating around. It gets on your clothes and in your hair but you get used to it. We aren't a big factory or anything. It's more of a local workshop feel. People from the colony often stop by to see what we are making. We have wood and metal pieces leaning against the walls. It’s a bit cluttered but we know where everything is. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the materials. We start early when the sun comes up to avoid the worst of the heat. Gautam Colony is a tight-knit place so we know most of our neighbors. They know us by the noise we make, I guess. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just walk into the workspace. It’s practical and straightforward. We just make things that are meant to last. Sometimes we have to move things around to make space for a big project. It’s a lot of physical labor but it feels good at the end of the day. Just a small business trying to do honest work in the neighborhood.
