K & D Engineering & Construction

We are over at 1 D 21 in Sector 52. K & D Engineering & Construction is mostly about managing projects and making sure things get built the way they are supposed to. Sector 52 is a bit more organized than some other parts of town, but it still has its quirks. Our office is full of rolls of blueprints and samples of tiles or bricks. There is always someone on the phone arguing about a delivery of sand or checking if the labor showed up on time. It is a lot of coordination and sometimes it feels like we are just chasing our tails. We have a small table in the corner where we eat our lunch, usually whatever we brought from home. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to make us look important. We are just a group of people who know how to put things together. The floor is usually covered in some dust from the sites we visit. We spend half our time out in the sun and the other half sitting under a noisy air conditioner trying to catch up on paperwork. It is a lot of long hours and sometimes things don't go according to plan, but that is just the nature of construction. We just try to get the job done without too much fuss.
