Heuer-International

Our place is over at Plot No. 142A/52 in the N.S.E.Z area, Phase-2. Heuer-International sounds a bit bigger than we actually are. In reality, it’s just a group of us working in this unit. The area is full of different businesses, so it’s always busy with trucks and people moving about. We focus on our daily tasks, mostly handling orders and making sure everything is packed up correctly. The space is a bit industrial, with high ceilings and not much in the way of decoration. We have a small desk where we keep the logbooks and a computer that’s seen better days. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of big fans going all the time. Working in the export zone means there are a lot of rules to follow, which can be a headache sometimes. We’ve been here for a few years and have gotten to know the security guards and the other folks on the street. We don’t do much advertising; most people find us through people they know in the trade. It's a lot of manual work and checking lists over and over. We try to stay organized, but with so much going on, things can get a bit cluttered. It’s a decent living and keeps us on our toes every day, even when the paperwork piles up more than we would like it to.
