We are over in Sector 58 at plot number 41. It is more of an industrial or commercial area, so it is quite different from the residential parts of town. Our focus is on database systems, which means a lot of technical work that most people find boring. We have been a private limited company for a while, but it still feels like a small operation. The office is just one big room with several computers set up in a row. It is usually quiet, except for the sound of typing and the cooling fans on the servers. Sector 58 is a bit out of the way, but it is a good place to work without too many distractions. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, one of us will just look up from our screen to say hello. We take our lunch breaks together at the small canteen down the road. It’s a routine that works for us. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just making sure the data stays where it should and the systems don't crash. It is practical work for practical people. We’ve been at plot 41 for a long time and don't plan on moving anywhere else soon. Dealing with data is what we know best, so we just stick to that.
