Contrive Software Pvt Ltd is located over at Vasant Vihar 14. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood compared to the rest of the city, which is nice when you’re trying to concentrate on software problems. The building is older, but it holds up well. We have a small sign out front so people don't miss us. Inside, it’s mostly just desks pushed together to save space. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. There are only a few of us here. Usually, the day starts with someone making a big pot of coffee that everyone shares. We spend a lot of time debugging things that didn't work the day before. The windows look out onto a tree, so at least we have a bit of green to look at during breaks. We don't have a formal reception desk. If someone knocks, whoever is closest to the door just opens it. It’s a very informal way of running things, but it keeps the stress levels down. Sometimes we stay late when a project is near the finish line, and the street gets really silent then. We don't have any fancy mission statements hanging on the walls. Just some calendars and maybe a few old posters. It’s a functional space for people who just want to do their jobs without a lot of fuss. It gets the job done for us and that is what matters most at the end of the day.
