Chotelal Vislari

My name is Chotelal and I run this water supply business on Main Dadri Road in Sector 101. It’s right on the main stretch, so it’s easy to find us, though the noise from the traffic never really stops. We deal mostly with the big water jars that people use in their homes and offices. It started out small, just me and a rickshaw, but now we have a bit more help. We move a lot of crates every day. The work is physical and you have to be careful with your back when lifting those heavy blue jugs. We know most of the families around Sec-101 because we’ve been dropping off their water for a long time. Some days the weather makes it tough, like when it rains and the road gets messy and slippery, but the deliveries still have to happen because people are thirsty. Chotelal Vislari doesn't have a big office, just a space to store the bottles and sit down for a minute between runs. We try to keep things simple. If someone calls for water, we load it up and head out. Sometimes we run out of stock if the supplier is late getting to us, but usually, we have enough. It’s a basic business, nothing more than that. We just work hard and keep the crates moving. Sometimes we forget to eat lunch because the orders keep coming in and the truck is already loaded.
