If you look for P 11 in Sector 18, you’ll find Cheenos tucked in there among all the other buildings. The street outside is usually a mess of cars and people trying to find a shortcut, so it’s rarely silent around here. Inside, the floors are made of tiles that show every bit of dirt, so someone is always walking around with a mop or a broom. We have some old chairs that have seen better days, but they still work fine for sitting down and taking a break. The lights are a bit dim in certain corners because the wiring is old, but it gives the place a specific feel that isn't like those bright malls nearby. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know who likes to sit by the window and who prefers the corner table. Sometimes the music is a little too loud, or the AC drips a bit when it’s really humid outside, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. We don’t really do anything fancy. It’s just a place where we work and people come by to spend some time. There’s a lot of chatter from the kitchen and the sound of the main door opening and closing all day long. Sector 18 is always moving, and we are just one part of that noise. We keep a small notebook behind the counter where we write down the things we need to buy for the next day, like light bulbs or extra soap. It’s a bit unorganized but it works.
