Down in Sector 63, Block H-1A 26, it’s mostly just office buildings and traffic. We open the doors early because people need their coffee before they go into their cubicles. The espresso machine makes a lot of noise throughout the day. We spend most of our time wiping tables and refilling the milk. It gets quite crowded around mid-afternoon when everyone wants a break from their desks. We don’t have any big speeches about coffee; we just brew it and hand it over. Sometimes the internet is slow and people get annoyed while they're working on their laptops. We try to keep the place tidy but it’s hard when it’s windy outside and dust comes in every time the door opens. We have a few regular people who come in and sit in the same corner every single morning. It’s a small space at H-1A 26. We handle the orders as they come, sometimes making mistakes and having to redo a drink. The fridge hums in the background all day. It isn't a quiet place really, but it’s familiar. We handle the billing, the cleaning, and the coffee making between three or four of us. We just stay busy until it’s time to lock up and head home. There isn't much more to it than that. Just a shop in a busy industrial block where people stop by for a few minutes. We know the lunch crowd will always want their sandwiches toasted just right. It's a lot of small tasks that fill up the hours at Cafe Coffee Day.
