We’ve got our workshop set up in F-69, Sector 11, over in Noida. It’s a busy industrial sector, so there’s always something going on outside our doors with trucks and bikes. We’ve been in the garment business for a long time, and this space fits us well enough for now. It’s a big room filled with cutting tables and racks of clothes waiting to be moved out to stores. We aren't really the type to have a fancy showroom with lights and mirrors. Most of our work is about getting the pieces cut and sewn right. The noise of the machines is pretty much the soundtrack to our day. Some days are better than others, especially when the fabric suppliers are on time. Noida can be a bit of a maze with all the sectors looking the same, but once people find us, they usually come back. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk or long meetings. We just focus on the garments and making sure the stitching is tight and the colors match up. The lunch break is usually the quietest time of the day when everyone sits together and shares food from home. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a lot of work to do. It’s a bit messy sometimes with threads everywhere, but that’s how a real shop looks when people are working.
