Apollo Infoways Pvt Ltd is based over at G-149 in Sector-63, Noida. If you know Noida, you know Sector-63 is packed with offices and people constantly moving around. Our building is pretty standard for the area. Inside, it’s mostly rows of computers and people with headphones on. It’s not very quiet because there’s always someone discussing a coding problem or a server issue. We have a small pantry where we keep the biscuits and a kettle that gets used way too much. The view from the window is just other office blocks and the dusty road, but the sunset looks okay sometimes if the smog isn't too bad. We started out small and we’re still just a group of people who like technology and solving problems. No one wears suits here; it’s mostly just jeans and t-shirts. We have a lot of cables running along the floor that we have to be careful not to trip over. The electricity cuts out sometimes, but the backup kicks in pretty fast. We spend our days staring at screens and making sure the internet is working like it should. It’s a regular job in a regular part of India, and we just try to do our bit every day without making too much of a fuss. We stay late most nights because that is when the office finally gets quiet enough to think clearly about the code we are writing.
