Ambika Glass Arts & Aluminum Works

People usually find us because we are right near that CNG pump in Sector 53. It’s a busy spot in Gijhore and there is always a lot of dust from the road, but we stay busy with the aluminum work. My father started this and now we handle all kinds of glass cutting and fixing window frames for the houses around here. It isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a shop with tools and metal scraps lying around. If you walk into the Main Road Market, you’ll see our sign. Sometimes we are out on a job site so the shop might be quiet, but usually, someone is there cutting a piece of glass or drilling into a frame. We handle a lot of the local apartments. It gets pretty loud with the cutters going all day. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is when we actually take a break. Most folks just want their windows fixed fast without too much talk. We try to keep enough stock so we don't have to wait for deliveries from the bigger suppliers. It's just honest work, really. Nothing more to it than keeping the measurements right and making sure the glass doesn't crack while we're transporting it in the rickshaw. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know us. It is just a simple way to make a living in this part of Noida.
