Ambika Fashion

We are located over at E-34 in Sec-6. It is a pretty standard industrial block, so there is nothing very exciting to look at on this street. Ambika Fashion has been in this particular unit for a while now. The space is almost always filled with the constant humming sound of the machines running. It is not the kind of place where you would ever come for a fancy tour or a polished presentation. There are bits of thread and scrap fabric all over the floor, no matter how many times we try to sweep it up during the day. The lighting is that very bright fluorescent kind that makes everything look a bit pale and tired. We keep a small electric kettle in the back for making tea, which is pretty much the only thing that keeps us going through the long afternoons. The walls are mostly bare, except for a couple of old calendars and some notes we have taped up near the light switches so we do not forget orders. Outside, the Sec-6 area is always dusty because of the big trucks moving back and forth all day. You can hear the engines rumbling from morning until night. We do not have a proper lobby or a waiting area, just a front door that opens right into the middle of the work tables. It is a plain, hardworking spot in a very ordinary part of the city.
