Abhishek Fashion House & Mega Mart

This place is right on Niwari Road in Modi Nagar. It is a big shop, which is why we have the Fashion House and Mega Mart name. We keep a lot of different things here, from clothes to everyday household items. It is a bit of a mix, really. One side of the store has the fashion stuff like shirts and trousers, and the other side is where we keep the groceries and household goods. It gets especially busy on the weekends when families come in to do their weekly shopping. We spend a lot of our day just checking the inventory and making sure the shelves are not empty. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so we have to use a ladder quite often. We have a couple of young guys who work with us to move the heavy boxes around. Modi Nagar can get pretty dusty, so someone is always wiping down the counters with a cloth. It is not a fancy shopping mall with air conditioning everywhere, just a large local store where you can find what you need. The traffic on Niwari Road is always there in the background, making noise. We have some wooden benches near the door for people to sit if they get tired while shopping. Most of our customers are locals who just see the sign while they are passing by on their way home. It’s a normal, busy business.
