Print Media As A Sub Editor In

This place is where the sub-editing for print media happens. We are located at A-333 in Beta First, Greater Noida, right under the name Uma Shanker Yadav. It’s a bit of a trek out to this part of U.P. sometimes, but the workspace is where the actual editing gets done. It’s mostly just desks piled with papers and people staring at layouts on their monitors. We spend a lot of time fixing typos and making sure sentences actually make sense before they go to print. It’s not the most glamorous job, but someone has to do it. The office at A-333 is pretty basic. We don’t have fancy furniture or a break room with a pool table. We just have our computers and each other. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is breathing down our necks. That’s just the nature of the print world. People think print is dying, but we stay busy enough. The neighborhood here in Beta First is alright, though it can be a bit slow in the afternoons. We just keep our heads down and focus on the text. If there’s a mistake, it’s on us to catch it. We aren't perfect, but we try our best to get the words right. It's practical work for people who like language and don't mind the quiet grind of a sub-editor's life. That's really all there is to it for us.
