P&S,Event Organizer

We have been operating out of Ck, 15/33 in the Suria area of Varanasi for a good while now. Planning events around here is always quite an adventure because of the crowded streets and the specific way things work in this city. P&S is really just a small group of us who enjoy putting things together, whether it’s a wedding or a smaller local gathering. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. Most of our time is spent on the phone with vendors or standing around in venues making sure the chairs are lined up right. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything like that. Our office is just a practical space where we keep our files and meet with people over a cup of tea. We prefer talking to people face-to-face to understand what they really want for their function. Sometimes the electricity cuts out or a delivery is late, and we just have to scramble to make it work. That’s just how it is in Varanasi. We’ve learned to be quick on our feet. Most of our work comes from neighbors and local families who have known us for years. We don't do much advertising; we just try to do a decent job so people call us again next time. It’s hard work and the days are long, but it feels okay when an event finishes and everyone is happy. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next task.
