Chamunda Creation

We operate out of B-5/270 in Yamuna Vihar. It’s a residential area, so it feels a bit different than being in a big commercial park. We’ve turned part of the space into a work area where we do all our sewing and cutting. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside and you can hear them through the windows while we work. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone in the kitchen making lunch or a pot of tea. We have clothes hanging on racks almost everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a large shipment of fabric in, but we manage to find space by stacking things up high. The sewing machines have their own rhythm, and you get used to the hum after a while. We aren't a big factory; it's just a few of us putting things together. On sunny days, the light comes in through the front window and makes it easier to see the fine details of the stitching. We usually close up around seven, once the street starts to get quiet. It’s a simple setup, but it’s ours. We don't really do much advertising, mostly just people in Yamuna Vihar knowing we are here and dropping by to see what we are working on. The door sticks a little when it's humid, so you have to give it a good push.
