Nisha Bhamabhani

Nisha Bhamabhani. This is my place in R K Puram, Sector 13. I’ve been living and working out of number 38 for quite a while. It’s a government colony area, so it’s got that specific Delhi feel with lots of trees and monkeys running around outside. My setup is very basic. I have a small desk near the window where the light is good. Most of the work I do is solo, so I don't need a lot of space. It’s just about staying organized and keeping up with the schedule. The neighbors are mostly families who have been here for decades. It’s a quiet spot, which helps when I need to concentrate. I don't have a big sign or anything to show this is a business. People usually just know me by word of mouth. Sometimes I have to go out for meetings, but I prefer working from here. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned, but they are comfortable. I make my own tea and handle my own filing. It’s a very simple way of doing things. No fancy overheads or staff to manage. I just take the work as it comes and try to do an honest job of it. It’s my little corner of Sector 13 where I can just get things done my way.
