Brijbhushan

My name is Brijbhushan and I work out of Chamber 139 in the New Lawyers Chamber building on Bhagwan Das Road. If you’ve ever been down this way, you know how hectic it gets with all the lawyers and clients moving around. My chamber is one of many in this long hallway, and it’s filled with stacks of files and law books that I’ve collected over the years. It’s a small space, but I’ve managed to fit a couple of chairs for people to sit while we go over their paperwork. The walls are lined with wooden shelves that are starting to bow a little under the weight of all the documents. I usually start my day quite early to avoid the worst of the crowd at the entrance. The building itself has that old government office feel, with high ceilings and heavy doors. I often grab a tea from the stall downstairs and bring it up while I sort through my morning mail. There’s always someone knocking on the door or passing by in the corridor, so it’s never really quiet until much later in the evening. I don’t have any fancy decorations or modern furniture; everything here is built for utility. It’s where I do my thinking and my writing. Being on Bhagwan Das Road puts me right in the middle of things, which is exactly where I need to be for this kind of work, day in and day out.
