Watts Public College

Watts Public College is tucked away in Lane 8 on Joshi Road, right in the middle of Karol Bagh. If you know Delhi, you know how crowded and loud this area can be. Our building is at 16/224, and it’s a bit of a tight squeeze like everything else in this neighborhood. We don’t have a sprawling green campus or big sports fields because there just isn't the space for it here. Instead, we have several floors of classrooms and a small terrace area. The students here are used to the noise of the city filtering in through the windows. It’s a very urban sort of place to go to college. Most people reach us by the metro or the local buses that run through Karol Bagh. We focus on the regular college curriculum without any extra fluff. The hallways are narrow and always full of students rushing between lectures. We’ve got a small canteen nearby where everyone grabs a quick snack. It’s not a shiny, corporate institution. It’s more like a family-run place where everyone knows each other’s names. We deal with the usual Delhi problems like power cuts or water issues now and then, but we just keep going. It’s a practical place for people living in central Delhi who want to get their degree without traveling too far. We just do our work and keep the place running day after day.
