Vanvashi Food And Beverages is based out of an apartment in Vikas Puri. Specifically, we are at Flat No-181 in the Samaj Kalyan CGHS building. It’s a residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than being in a main market or a commercial tower. We use the second floor for our work. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, having a business running from a flat, but it keeps our costs down. We focus on food items and different beverages. Most of our day is spent on the computer or the phone, talking to suppliers and customers. Vikas Puri is a nice neighborhood, and being in an apartment complex means we know our neighbors well. We try not to make too much noise or cause a disturbance with our deliveries. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls; it’s just a place with a few desks and some files piled up. We started this because we had an interest in the food business and decided to just go for it from where we were. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us handling the daily tasks. It’s practical and it works for us. Sometimes we have tea on the balcony when things get a bit slow. We just take it one day at a time, making sure things are moving as they should.
