Usher Agro Ltd

Usher Agro Ltd is up on the fourth floor, room 405, in Netaji Subhash Place. It’s a busy building with a lot of elevators that seem to take forever to arrive when you are in a hurry. Our office is mostly just desks, older computers, and metal files filled with papers about grain and crops. It’s not like being out in the fields, but we deal with that side of things from here every day. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking the daily prices. It can get a bit stressful when the market fluctuates and everyone starts calling at once. We aren't a huge corporation with fancy carpets or art on the walls. It’s a practical, working space. We drink a lot of tea and coffee to stay awake through the long, slow afternoons. Sometimes the air conditioning makes a weird rattling noise, but we just ignore it and keep working. We've been at NSP for a while now. It’s a good location because it's central and easy to get to, even if the parking situation is a total nightmare most days. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know how each other likes to work and who takes their tea with no sugar. We don't really have big meetings. We just shout across the room if we need a file or a phone number. It’s an honest way to make a living, dealing with the food supply stuff. We just try to keep the paperwork moving so the work happens.
