Shabari Traders

Shabari Traders is run out of our place in Okhla, New Delhi. The address is House Number F-65A in Abul Fazal Enclave. It’s a very busy neighborhood with lots of narrow lanes and people everywhere. We use a couple of rooms here for all our trading records and to store some of the smaller samples we deal with. We also have our main home in Aligarh at Jamalpur, right near the old police chowki. That’s House 4/78. We find ourselves splitting time between the two places quite a bit. Trading is mostly about being on the phone and making sure things get from one place to another without too much trouble. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just us and one or two people we trust to help with the heavy lifting or the deliveries. There’s no big logo on the wall or anything like that. We just have a few desks and a lot of ledgers. Sometimes we get the orders mixed up or a delivery is late because of the Delhi traffic, but we always try to fix it. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. It’s a basic way to live, but we’ve been doing it this way for years and it seems to work out for everyone involved. We don't bother with fancy slogans because our work speaks for itself at the end of the day.
