University College Of Medical Science

Dilshad Garden is a busy, crowded part of East Delhi. University College of Medical Science is a major part of the landscape around here. It’s situated right near the metro station, so there are always people rushing back and forth at all hours. The college has an old, established feel to it. The brick walls have that weathered look you only get after decades of use. Students are everywhere you look, usually with stethoscopes around their necks and looking a bit frazzled from their shifts. The library is one of the most used places on the campus; it’s always full of people, even very late into the evening. We have a canteen that serves decent samosas and tea, which is where most people hang out to take a quick break from the hospital wards. It’s not a polished campus with manicured lawns and fancy fountains. It’s a place that sees a lot of foot traffic and very hard use every single day. The hospital side of the complex is always busy, and that hectic energy spills over into the college corridors. You see a lot of people waiting in lines and ambulances coming in with their sirens going. It can be quite loud and a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. The staff here are mostly doctors who are juggling their teaching duties and seeing a lot of patients. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment for anyone. We don’t have fancy brochures or anything like that.
