Dressy Creations

Tughlakabad Extension is a pretty busy area to work in. We are located at Rz-738 A on Street No. 22. If you know the area, you know the streets are narrow and there’s always something happening. Our shop is right in the middle of it. We do a lot of creating here at Dressy Creations, so there is usually the sound of a sewing machine or the snip of scissors. It’s not a quiet place. There are piles of fabric in various colors and scraps of thread all over the floor. I try to sweep up every evening, but by the next morning, it’s messy again. We have a small workspace in the back and a bit of a display in the front. People from the neighborhood stop by to see what we are working on. Sometimes they bring in their own ideas, and we see what we can do. The ventilation isn't the best, so we use a couple of heavy-duty fans to keep the air moving. It gets hot when all the machines are running at once. Street 22 is always full of kids playing or people moving goods on carts. We’ve been at this address for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the extension. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but it feels good to see a finished piece of clothing hanging up. It’s just our daily life and we keep at it.
