Tirupati Hardware Store

Our store, Tirupati Hardware Store, is located at A-219 in the D.D.A Flats area of Kalkaji. We are right on the main road, so it gets very busy with all the cars and people walking by. Being in the flats means we have a lot of neighbors who stop in for small things like a few screws or a new lock. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of hardware. It’s hard to move around sometimes when we have a lot of stock delivered. We don’t have a fancy display, just shelves and bins full of metal parts and tools. The light inside is a bit dim, but we know exactly where every item is kept. It’s a noisy spot because of the traffic on the Kalkaji main road, but you get used to it after a week. We spend a lot of time helping people find the right size of bolt or explaining how a specific tool works. It’s a small shop, but it serves the local area well. Sometimes we just sit on a stool by the door and watch the world go by when things are slow. There’s always dust on the shelves no matter how much we clean, that’s just how hardware stores are. We’ve been here at A-219 for years and seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the main road is always as loud as ever.
