Arora Sales Corp is tucked away in the Main Market of Mehrauli. The exact address is 893/8 D-1, near Andheria Morh. We are right opposite the Aulia Masjid, so if you hear the call to prayer, you know you’re close to us. The market is always crowded and tight, which is just how Mehrauli is. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s a family-run thing, really. My father started it and now we just keep it going. We sell a bit of everything that people in the neighborhood might need for their shops or homes. The shelves are packed high, and sometimes only I know where the specific small items are kept. It gets hot in the summer inside the shop, so we have a couple of old fans going. We don't go in for fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a store in the middle of a busy market. People stop by on their way to the mosque or when they’re doing their daily shopping. We know most of our regulars by name. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We sit on plastic chairs, drink tea, and talk to whoever walks in. It’s about being part of the Mehrauli community more than anything else. We stay open late because that’s when the market is most alive. Sometimes we even share a snack with the neighbors when business is slow.
