Our office is at Road No. 6, House No. 9, in Panjabi Baug Extension. It’s a quiet residential street, so we try not to make too much noise when the delivery trucks come. Teji Exports is run by just a few of us. We have been in this building for several years. The walls are painted a simple cream color, and we have some plants by the entrance that we often forget to water. Inside, there are stacks of paper and sample items sitting on the shelves. We spend our mornings responding to messages and checking the logbooks. It’s a tight space, so we have to be organized. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat about the local news. We like being part of the community here. The kitchen area is small, but it’s where we make the morning tea that gets us started. We don’t have a big corporate sign, just a small plate near the door. The furniture is mismatched, and some of it came from the owner’s house years ago. We don’t mind. It feels like home. When the monsoon hits, we have to make sure the boxes are off the floor just in case. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We keep working until the sun goes down, then we lock up and head out. We aren't doing anything fancy, just moving goods and making sure the records are right.
