Sukriti Creations runs out of A-701 in the Shri Ganesh Apartment building, over at Plot No. 93 in IP Extension. Patpar Ganj is a busy area, but once you get up to the seventh floor, it’s actually quite quiet. I started this because I wanted to create things that had a bit more character than what you find in the big stores. Our space is filled with samples, sketches, and stacks of different materials. It’s not a factory; it’s more of a workshop where we figure out how to make things look right. Since we are in an apartment complex, we have to keep the noise down and make sure we aren't blocking the elevators with our supplies. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of work going on at once. We don't have a storefront with big glass windows. Most people find out about us through someone they know. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and choosing colors that don't look cheap. It’s just a few of us here, and we usually have a radio playing in the background while we work. We don't have any big mission statements. We just like making things that look decent and last a long time. It’s a steady way to make a living, and being in Patpar Ganj means we are close to the markets when we need more supplies. We just take it one project at a time.
