About St Johns Convent School – Education in New Delhi
If you walk down Street No-112 in B-Block, you will find us right there in the middle of Sant Nagar. Burari is a crowded place, and our school, St Johns Convent School, is right in the thick of it. Every morning, the street gets packed with rickshaws and parents dropping off their kids. It is a bit chaotic until the bell rings. Inside, it is just normal classrooms with wooden desks and blackboards. We have been here for some time now, and we know most of the families in this part of Sant Nagar. The building is simple, nothing flashy at all. We spend a lot of our day dealing with the usual school stuff, like fixing fans or making sure the water coolers are full because Delhi gets so hot in the afternoons. There is always the sound of children talking or someone practicing their lessons out loud. It isn't a quiet place, but it is a lively one. We don't have a giant playground, so the kids make do with the small space we have available. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all walk or take a cycle to get here. It is just a local school doing its thing for the neighborhood kids. We see the same faces every day and watch the kids grow up year after year. It is a lot of hard work, but it is just what we do here and we are used to the routine.
