Springdales School is located right on Pusa Road, so we are used to the constant hum of traffic and the general busyness of the area. It’s a central spot, and the school has been a fixture here for many years. The building has a lot of character, with different wings and plenty of stairs to climb. It’s the kind of place where you can get lost if you’re new, but after a week, you know every shortcut. Our staff room is always a bit cluttered with papers and tea cups, which is how we like it. It feels lived-in. We don't have a lot of shiny new decorations; the walls are mostly covered with student work and old notices. The classrooms are filled with the sound of teachers talking and pens scratching on paper. During the breaks, the courtyard gets very loud, but it’s a good kind of noise. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids understand what they’re reading. It’s a straightforward approach to schooling. We don't use a lot of fancy terminology or complicated systems. Parents come in for meetings, we talk about the progress, and we move on to the next thing. It’s a busy, practical environment where everyone has a job to do, and we just get on with it every day from morning to evening.
