Sonia Madan

Our place is at C-782 in New Friends Colony. It’s a nice residential neighborhood, which makes it a bit more personal when people come by. Sonia Madan is really just a small operation run out of this address. We don’t have a big storefront with glass windows. It’s more of a home-based setup where we handle everything ourselves. Most of our work is about personal style and making sure things fit the way they should. Because we are in a colony, it’s much quieter than the main markets. We usually work by appointment or just for people who live nearby and know us. It’s a lot of sitting at the table, sketching things out or cutting fabric. We don't use any fancy management software; we just keep notes in a physical diary. It’s worked for us so far. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the house, but we just go out to the gate to meet them. It’s a very grounded way to work. We’ve lived and worked here for years, so we know all the neighbors. We aren't looking to expand into some giant corporation. We like the way things are right now, just doing good work for people who appreciate the effort. It feels more like helping out friends than running a business sometimes. We just focus on one project at a time and try to get the details right.
