Sonal Tuition is run out of Flat No. 478 in Arjun Vihar, which is part of the Delhi Cantonment area. It is basically just a home where we teach. We have a few tables set up and a lot of books stacked against the walls. Usually, the kids start showing up in the late afternoon after their regular school is over. It gets pretty lively once everyone arrives. We cover different subjects depending on what the students are struggling with that week. It might be math one day or science the next. The flat isn't huge, so we have to keep things organized so everyone has space to write. There is always a jug of water on the table and some pens rolling around. We try to keep it quiet so they can concentrate, but sometimes the neighbors are noisy outside. It’s a very local thing. Most of the students live nearby in the Cantonment area or just a short bus ride away. Their parents often stop by to chat about grades or just to see how things are going. We don’t have a big staff or anything like that. It’s just a couple of us making sure the kids understand their homework and get ready for their exams. Some days are harder than others when the material is tough, but we just take it step by step. It feels more like a study group than a formal classroom, which seems to help the kids feel less stressed.
