Skrs Grand Sweets

We are tucked away in Rama Market at shop number 12 in Munirka. It’s a local market, so we get a lot of students from the nearby university and families who live in the blocks around here. We aren't a big chain or anything. It’s just a small shop where we make sweets and snacks every day. The morning starts with frying samosas and kachoris. You can usually smell them from down the lane. We don't have a lot of space for people to sit, so most customers just take their bags and head home. The counter is usually covered in trays of barfi and gulab jamun. We don't use any fancy machines; most of it is done by hand in the back kitchen. It gets pretty hot back there, especially in the summer months. The staff is just a few local guys who’ve been with us for a while. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just want to sell food and make sure the accounts are right at the end of the day. Sometimes we forget to change the calendar on the wall, but the food is always fresh. It’s a simple life running a shop in Munirka. Skrs Grand Sweets is just our way of making a living and serving the neighborhood. We hope people like what we have in the display today and come back tomorrow.
