Mahendra Sweets

Mahendra Sweets is located at shop number 67 in Babu Market. We are right opposite the corner of the main Sarojini Market, so the area is always packed with shoppers. It gets very loud and hectic here, especially on the weekends when everyone is out looking for deals. We’ve been in this spot in Sarojini Nagar for a long time, watching the crowds change over the years. Our shop is small and filled with the smell of frying and sugar syrup. There isn't much space to move around when we have a lot of customers. We spend our mornings getting the trays ready and making sure everything looks decent on the counter. It’s a lot of manual work, stirring big pots and hand-shaping the sweets. We aren't a big chain; it's just a local shop where we know the other stall owners nearby. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lanes, but we just deal with it. People come in looking for a quick bite after shopping, and we’re usually too busy to talk much. We just keep serving and keeping the place running as best as we can.
