Shree Ganesham Seeds

At Kailash Colony A-7, you’ll find our little place, Shree Ganesham Seeds. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main markets. We deal with seeds for all sorts of plants. Most of our day is spent weighing things out and putting them into small packets. The smell of earth and dry seeds fills the shop. It’s quite peaceful actually. We have shelves lined with different varieties, and we try to keep them all labeled correctly, though sometimes the labels fall off. We get a mix of people coming in—some who have big farms outside the city and others who just want to grow a few flowers on their balcony. We don’t have a big sales pitch. We just tell them what we know about how the seeds grow. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust because that’s just how it is when you work with seeds. We have an old ceiling fan that wobbles a lot, but it keeps us cool enough. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s a nice day and watch the cars go by. It’s not a fast-paced business. You have to have some patience when you're waiting for things to grow, and I guess that rubs off on how we run the shop. We just take it one customer at a time and try not to get too stressed about things. The bags of seeds are heavy, but we're used to the lifting. It's a good way to spend the day.
