Sister Closet

Our shop is at A/e- 183 in Shalimar Bagh. It’s a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a business sometimes. Sister Closet is exactly what it sounds like—a place where we keep all the clothes and outfits we’ve put together. We don’t have a big sign with flashing lights or a fancy display window. It’s just a room filled with racks of clothes and a few mirrors. We spend a lot of time sorting through different styles and seeing what looks right. Shalimar Bagh is a nice place to be, and our neighbors often drop by just to see what’s new in the closet. We didn't want a place in a big mall because that feels too cold and distant. Here, we can talk to people and take our time. The hangers clinking together is the main sound you’ll hear in the afternoon. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around to make space for a new shipment of dresses. It gets a bit cluttered, but we like it that way. It feels lived in. We handle everything ourselves, from tagging the items to bagging them up for people. There isn't a team of workers or a manager in a suit. It’s just us doing what we enjoy in a quiet corner of Delhi. We try to keep things simple and not overthink it too much. We just open up and see who stops by.
